There are difficult, intense and fun projects. Hennessy was all of that and more. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of committed professionals which was a pleasure and a great experience. Starting of with Mercury Mambo; Lynn, Becky, Ruben, April and Erica who trusted me fully in this project. Also, having the participation of Brandy and her wonderful Wardrobe Stylist team. And of course, to Dany for her impeccable production and coordination of the thousands of stuff to do before, during and after the photo shoot.
Hay proyectos difíciles, hay proyectos intensos, hay proyectos divertidos, Hennessy fué todo eso y más. Tener la oportunidad de colaborar con un equipo de profesionales comprometidos es un placer y una gran experiencia. Comenzando por el equipo de Mercury Mambo
, Lynn, Becky, Ruben, April y Erica quienes confiaron plenamente en mi trabajo. Sin dejar de mencionar a Brandy y su maravilloso trabajo de fashion stylist. Y por supuesto a Dany por su impecable producción y coordinación de las mil y una cosas que se tienen que hacer antes, durante y después de la sesión.
One of the things I like to point out is that in the final design/application you can see that the photograph is composed by two layers; the first one is the product and the second one is the scene of three men enjoying themselves while watching a baseball game and drinking Hennessy. Both scenes were shot at the same time. Nowadays is it difficult to do so, since it is common to insert the product shot on a separate layer, which is not bad, but personally I don’t like it since I do not get the same highlights and textures of the whole environment.
Una de las características que me gusta resaltar de este proyecto, es que se podrá observar en la gráfica final que la fotografía esta compuesta por dos capas, en primer plano el producto y en segundo plano una escena de tres hombres interactuando mientras un partido de baseball se proyecta en las televisiones. Todo en conjunto se tomó al mismo tiempo. Hoy en día es fácil comenzar por la fotografía de producto por separado para después insertarla en post producción, lo cuál no es malo, simplemente en lo personal no me gusta, pues siento que los mismos reflejos, brillos y texturas que se reflejan a través del entorno no son posibles de reproducir digitalmente.
A fun fact about this scene is that the characters you are seeing are talking about a baseball game, and the photo shoot was scheduled for a 14 hour day of work, and right at the moment the talent sat down to start acting, a baseball game was transmitted. So, the scenes on the monitors are real. Sometimes, planets align.
Lo curioso fué que teníamos que reproducir una escena donde los personajes estuvieran viendo y discutiendo un partido de baseball, la toma la teníamos programada a las 14 hrs, y justo en ese momento comenzó una transmisión de un partido de baseball, por lo cuál, las escenas que se proyectan a través de los monitores de televisión no fueron montadas, son reales, cuando los planetas se alinean, todo sale a pedir de boca.
