School of Rock

I never had the opportunity to know a real School of Rock. It is amazing to see all the kids with music abilities. Thank u B, thank u Cholo for showing me this fantastic world!

You never know | Uno nunca sabe

No longer than two months ago when I was driving back from Houston, I stopped at a McDonald´s. I do not remember the exact town, it was someplace between Houston and Austin, TX. When I was there, eating my burger, I saw a big man sitting across from me to eat a burger too. I immediately imagined a postcard but was unable to take a photo. The only camera I had with me was my iPhone and as soon as I turned it on he stood up from the table and away from me. I kept eating and then he sat at the same table...now to eat an ice cream cone. I loved it even more. I had the ability to capture the moment, I had the moment and I captured it.

How can you do a big personal project with only one light | Como crear un gran proyecto personal con una luz

A lot of people have asked and others have tried to guess how have I done my two latest personal projects “Town of Clouds” and “The day that color didn’t exist”. Some say that I used HDR technique and others that my work is all in post-production. The truth is that I do not like to use HDR and my work in post-production is minimal.

Behind the Gooool | Detrás del Gooool

After a few weeks of much sobriety in my projects, an opportunity presented which I could not resist. I was going to the first soccer game in the new Chivas stadium in Guadalajara, Jalisco. I must confess that I am not passionate about soccer, I do not wear soccer jerseys and my humos does not depend if a team wins or not. But being a witness of what soccer means to thousands of people is a unique experience.

Rocco

The roof is on fire

I had a lot of satisfaction in my professional life, moments that I remember gladly and lots of stories to tell. This project is one of my top 5.

It all started with a call while I was traveling from Houston to Austin. I was done with a photo shoot and was being contacted from Monterrey, Mexico (my hometown). They were asking me to create a story in photographs of what the opening of the new Chivas stadium in Guadalajara will be. To be honest, I did not understand the magnitude of the event until I stepped into the stadium. The facilities are top-of-the-world, which makes it (without any doubt) one of the most incredible stadiums in America.

Texas CEO Magazine

Last month I had the pleasure to work for the very first time with Texas CEO Magazine. I had to travel to Houston to take a photograph of the CEO of one of the most importante medical center in US, Dr. Bertwelsen.

In occassions like this one, working with people who are extremely busy time is an important factor. Six hours driving Austin-Houston-Austin, 10 minutes for breakfast, 15 minutes for lunch and 15 minutes for the photo shoot in 4 different locations is all the time you need to do in special occasions. I love road trips!

Anaguac

More than 15 days have passed since the force of Huracan Alex was felt in northeastern of Mexico. The State of Nuevo Leon collapsed around the city. The rural areas; the poorest, still suffer the consequences. The amazing thing of the hurricane is not the water over flooding the river. What is amazing is to see how people had forgotten of these communities that have been devastated.
